Layher substructures, delivered for Arena

The Cheltenham Festival is one of the biggest weeks in the UK racing calendar. Four days of jump racing, hundreds of thousands of spectators, and a temporary infrastructure footprint that has to go up fast and come down clean.

For the 2026 Festival, we were brought in by our client Arena to deliver Layher substructures across the site, and to handle the de-rig once the racing was finished.

The brief

Arena needed a specialist Layher partner to deliver substructures across the racecourse as part of the wider Festival build. The work had to fit a tight pre-event window and integrate with everything else going up around it.

The build

We supplied, designed, and installed the substructures, working alongside Arena’s site team. Components were scanned and tagged through our standard install process, and the structures were signed off ready for race week.

The de-rig

Once the Festival closed, our team returned to site to break the structures back to component level, load out, and hand the ground back to the racecourse. A full week’s work in good weather, clean from start to finish.

The result

Substructures up on time, run safely through Festival week, and down cleanly at the end. Another season delivered for Arena at one of the most recognisable venues in UK sport.
