It’s August and we’re up in Scotland for the 45th Women’s Open Golf Tournament at Carnousite Golf Links. Each year the four day tournament opens its doors to the best female players in the world including the defending champion Sophie Popov.
On behalf of Arena Group we’re helping to build the hospitality marquees to facilitate the 8,000 a day crowd expected at this year’s tournament. All five hospitality marquees are being built at the 18th hole – one of golf’s most notorious ending tests.
Our crew are building the marquee substructures along with flooring to facilitate the upper structures supplied by Arena. We’re also installing a Layher Public Access Staircase for staff working in the kitchen marquee.
All the marquee substructures are being built using Layher System Scaffold which is perfect for construcing large, temporary substructures on uneven terrain like Carnoustie.
