It was game, set and match for The Event & Media Structures crew who were out in force this sunny, Mayday weekend – constructing hospitality suites, viewing platforms and walkways, for the thousands of visitors who are expected to descend on London from the 28 June, to enjoy two weeks of world class international tennis.
Using Layher scaffolding for the perfect fit and design, our team built the scaffold structure for the main VIP viewing platform, staircase and walkway which overlooks Court 1.
For the temporary viewing platform, our first task was to lay a level floor, then build from the ground up. Using a skeleton crew of just three, and mindful of social distancing, the temporary structure was put up in just under a day.
Our next task will be to clad and paint the viewing platform in the event’s signature dark green and add all the finishing touches, including hoarding and signage.
At Event & Media Structures Ltd we are proud to be able to offer a complete wrap-around service from start to finish – design, construction, erection with all the finishing touches. And post event, there’s always a quick and efficient dismantle process. Safety always comes first, both in the building of our structures, which adhere to industry standards, and in our social distancing policy – which ensures everyone stays safe.
