At Event & Media Structures, we’re proud to support the communities around us, and this Easter weekend was a great reminder of why that matters.
We were delighted to sponsor the MKRUFC U9’s on their first tour to the 2026 SCI Sports Mini & Youth Rugby Festival in Skegness. It was a weekend full of energy, teamwork and moments the players and their families won’t forget anytime soon.
A weekend to remember
Held from 27–30 March 2026, the Skegness festival brought together youth teams from across the UK for a packed schedule of matches, activities and a brilliant presentation night.
From the first kick-off to the final whistle, the MKRUFC U9’s showed exactly what grassroots rugby is all about:
- Teamwork and support for each other
- Respect for opponents and officials
- Real determination on the pitch
- Plenty of smiles off it
The highlight for many was the awards evening, where the team took to the stage to celebrate their efforts together, medals around their necks and a real sense of pride in what they’d achieved.
More than just sponsorship
Supporting this tour wasn’t just about putting a logo on a hoodie.
For us, it’s about backing the next generation and being part of something bigger than the day job. Through Event & Media Structures Ltd, Fabox, and Milton Keynes Scaffolding Specialists, we’re in a position to help, and we think that’s something worth doing.
Grassroots sport builds confidence, friendships and life skills that go far beyond the pitch. Seeing that first-hand over the weekend made it all the more worthwhile.
Proud of every player
Every player, parent and coach represented the club brilliantly. Whether it was battling through tough matches, cheering from the sidelines, or celebrating together in the evenings, the whole group did MKRUFC proud.
A big well done to everyone involved.
